Alan Pinto
Alan Pinto is a lifelong New Yorker, born to Jewish Egyptian immigrant parents. He went to high school in Manhattan, before going off to Georgetown University to study Psychology and Economics. After a great 4 years in Washington, DC, he moved back to NY to pursue a career in finance. In the last 8 years, he has worked for himself as an advisor, assisting clients in raising capital to grow and expand their businesses. Some of Alan's most rewarding work has been with drug, biotech and medical device companies, that are specifically focused on treating degenerative retinal diseases. Alan's interest in blinding conditions is a result of the most significant friendship of his life, with Rebecca Alexander, who is a global advocate for those in her extended Usher Syndrome community. In his spare time, Alan is an amateur cook, tennis player and film critic!
