Sight, Sound, Strength: Harpoon Brewery

On November 19, 2019 the Usher Syndrome Society hosted our annual experiential fundraiser event at Harpoon Brewery in Boston, MA to bring awareness and funding to support Usher syndrome.

The event included an array of experiential stations that asked participants to connect to their senses. These stations ranged from a blind beer tasting and blind taco bar to a silent disco featuring music with simulated hearing loss.

The event also featured an educational component and Rebecca Alexander took the floor to share with attendees her experience of losing her vision and hearing due to Usher syndrome and how she has found strength in her journey.
