Please join the Usher Syndrome Society as we return to Urban Wild for our Annual Sight, Sound, & Strength Fundraiser on Tuesday, December 1st on Giving Tuesday! Last year’s event was such a tremendous success that we simply had to return to this wonderful venue for another year, and we hope you will join us again.

USH X Swim Alcatraz 2026
October 17, 2026
On October 17th, The Usher Syndrome Society hosted an awareness event and fundraiser featuring ten swimmers living with Usher syndrome and 12 support swimmers. These 22 individuals made their way across open water in the San Francisco bay from Alcatraz Island to the shore of Aquatic Park, raising awareness and critical research funds for Usher syndrome.

“Every Second Counts” is our award winning national awareness campaign that has been exhibited in Times Square and continues to be featured on digital streaming platforms across the country. The campaign underscores the sense of urgency felt by individuals living with Usher syndrome, who are seeking to live full, meaningful lives, while actively striving to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure.
