In the Chinese zodiac 2019 is the Year of the Pig, but for the Usher Syndrome Society the Year of the Pig means so much more! We are proud to announce that we made a significant donation to the Holt/Geleoc lab to study a Pig Model of USH 2A.  The lab is associated with the F.M. Kirby Neurobiology Center, Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The USH2A Pig will be used to accelerate development of novel therapies to treat USH2A auditory and retinal dysfunction. We believe this work will dramatically change the course of research in their lab and worldwide to understand and assess novel treatments for USH2A and other forms of Usher Syndrome.
