Rebecca Alexander Talks about the Every Second Counts Campaign on The Today Show and NBC News Now

On May 16th, 2024 following The Usher Syndrome Society’s Times Square takeover that happened on May 1st, Rebecca Alexander and the Usher Syndrome Society were invited by Peter Alexander to appear on the Today Show and NBC News Now!

In both of these interviews. Rebecca Alexander shares her experience living with the rare disease, Usher syndrome, which is the leading genetic cause of combined deafness and blindness. As the face of the Usher Syndrome Society’s groundbreaking Every Second Counts awareness campaign, Rebecca provides viewers with a deeper understanding of Usher syndrome, including its challenges and how she has learned to live her life to the fullest, while continuing to remain hopeful for treatment.

Rebecca’s brother, Peter Alexander, appeared on The Today show and NBC News Now alongside Rebecca to talk about how proud he feels of his sister’s achievements in life and in this campaign.

This feature marks an unbelievable opportunity to bring Usher syndrome to the forefront of rare disease awareness, as the Today Show reaches over 5 million people every day through its broadcast, and millions more through the website and other social media channels.
